How these guides are written
Every guide is written from the position that the formula is rarely the hard part. Definitions, boundaries and data quality decide whether a KPI is trustworthy, so those get the most space. Where a convention varies between organisations, we say so rather than presenting one version as the standard.
We do not publish benchmark thresholds or industry averages without a stated source, and we do not quote or paraphrase standards we have not cited. Where a judgment call is unavoidable, it is labelled as one.
