Summary

Reliability in Action is an informational website. It does not run advertising, does not ask you to create an account, and uses Google Analytics only if you accept analytics cookies on the consent banner.

Information you enter into calculators

All calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are used to produce a result on the page and are not transmitted to us or stored on a server.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-3N4CY92NYF), provided by Google, to understand which pages are read and how visitors move through the site. Analytics is denied by default using Google Consent Mode: no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected unless you choose “Accept analytics” on the cookie banner.

If you consent, Google Analytics may set cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_<container>) and process information such as pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, device type, browser and language. We do not use Analytics to identify you personally, and we do not upload user IDs or other identifying information.

Advertising-related consent signals — ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization — are permanently set to denied, because the site runs no advertising and no ad personalisation. Google Signals and advertising features are not enabled.

Google acts as our data processor for Analytics; information may be processed on Google servers outside your country. See Google’s own privacy documentation for details of how they handle this data.

Your choices

Choosing “Reject non-essential” keeps analytics disabled. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so the banner does not reappear. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for this website, which will show the banner again. You may also block cookies or use browser privacy settings and Google’s own opt-out tools.

Cookies and local storage

The site sets no advertising cookies. We store one small local-storage entry recording your cookie-consent choice, which is strictly necessary to honour that choice. Analytics cookies are set only after consent, as described above.

Server logs

Our hosting provider may record standard technical request information such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL as part of operating and securing the service. We do not use this data to build profiles of visitors.

Third-party links

Pages may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we suggest reviewing their own policies.

Contact forms and email

The contact form is a non-functional interface placeholder. It does not submit or store any data. If a working contact channel is added, this policy will be updated first.

Children

The site is aimed at working engineers and engineering students and is not directed at children.

Future changes

If advertising (including Google AdSense), newsletter signup, or any other new data collection is introduced, this policy will be revised beforehand to describe what is collected, why, and what choices you have. This document is provided for transparency and is not a statement of certification under any specific legal framework.
